The Appearance Committee should consist of 15 voting members and are an advisory body to the Board and Town Manager.

The Committee works with and confers with town staff, local residents, and business and community leaders in an effort to improve the appearance of the town. The Committee reviews and recommends all policy changes involving the town’s nuisance ordinances, demolition of dilapidated buildings, and maintenance of town rights-of-way and town-owned buildings and properties. They also undertake fundraising for beautification efforts and downtown revitalization projects, and recommend specific projects to be undertaken by the town.
