The Carthage Planning Board is comprised of local citizens dedicated to the smart and sustainable growth of the Town of Carthage. Consisting of seven members (two residing within the Extraterritorial Jurisdiction) the Planning Board is appointed by the Board of Commissioners and serves as an advisory body to assist the Board of Commissioners in their decisions regarding matters involving zoning, planning, growth and development.

Meeting Information

The Planning Board meets the 1st Thursday of every month unless otherwise announced in a regularly scheduled meeting. Updates to the regular schedule will be posted on this website as well as announced on the Town of Carthage Facebook page. 

The Planning Board's monthly meetings offer a public comment session so that citizens and other members of the public may address the Planning Board with any questions, comments or concerns.
